In addition to hearing a good tale, the children participate in art projects, songs, finger plays and flannel board activities. But most of all, they have a lot of fun!

Story Hour is held at 10:00 for groups and 11:00 a.m. for the public on the following days and locations:

  • Monday: Yancey County Public Library
  • Tuesday: Mitchell County Public Library (Bakersville)
  • Wednesday: Avery County Public Library
  • Thursday: Spruce Pine Public Library

Summer Reading Program (for ages 6 - 12)

Children need to read, and the AMY Regional Library is making it fun to read in the summertime! Students participating in the Summer Reading Program can earn rewards for completing books and other projects. Find more info on our Summer Reading Programs page.
